Our Creative Ballet offers a unique curriculum which allows for a both a joyous experience as well as basic dance skill development. These uplifting classes for 3-5-year-olds include movement stories, creative games, structured free dance, dance with a prop, show and tell, musical interludes, dancing the roles in story ballets, and ballet basics. Each day will have a surprise "treasure box" interlude with a special activity!
NOTE: This class is offered OUTDOORS Fridays and on ZOOM on Saturdays.
Our new Ballet with a Contemporary Twist includes both ballet and modern techniques as we explore the contemporary use of the ballet vocabulary. Ballet has changed and is no longer focused exclusively on story ballets. This wonderful chance to dance outdoors will allow our dancers to move freely and to experience the basics of ballet while expanding their range. Classes include a ballet warm up and the drop and release and fluidity of modern contemporary dance! SNEAKERS and layers must be worn to protect our dancers’ feet! Please have all hair pulled back and no overly baggy clothing.
Our new Contemporary with a Jazz Twist includes jazz sequences and steps often springing from Broadway shows! Hip- Hop phrases will be used as well as we encourage our dancers to increase their range! Dancing jazz phrases outdoors to jazzy music lifts everyone’s spirits! Contemporary and Jazz dance share a common base in ballet positioning and this is emphasized in our warm up. SNEAKERS and layers must be worn to protect our dancers’ feet! Please have all hair pulled back and no overly baggy clothing
